One of the shortcomings of Death Stranding, the tiny font that pervades the game’s menus and interface, will be fixed in an upcoming patch for the game, developer Kojima Productions said on Twitter. According to the studio, players will soon have “the opportunity to enlarge the text”.
Kojima Productions said that this is just a player requesting addressing. The possibility of selling individual vehicles is another. These changes will be dealt with sometime in December.
Good news! We’re working on another update to answer the most common requests from players, such as the ability to increase text size or dispose of individual vehicles.
The update is scheduled for mid-December. Thank you for your feedback! #DeathStranding pic.twitter.com/LFO0V7PWuT

The tiny font size of Death Stranding was a problem for the PlayStation 4 game, which features text-intensive menus, long read emails, and contextual UI elements that can be painful to the eyes. However, in modern video games this is an all too common problem. Players have complained about the size of the fonts in recent releases such as “God of War,” “Fire Emblem: Three Houses,” and “The Outer Worlds,” causing some developers to react and update their games to make them better are readable.
Death Stranding is now available for PS4. The release of a PC version is scheduled for summer 2020 – hopefully with all these improvements.
