Destiny 2’s Season of Dawn is here, offering new weapons, armor, and abilities. The legendary Titan Saint-14 returns in Season of Dawn. Players must work with Osiris on Mercury to rescue the hero on December 17.

New activities and season ticket
Season of Dawn brings the fight back to Mercury, the small planet Bungie, which was added shortly after the launch of Destiny 2 two years ago. On Mercury, players can collect allies in a group of six players and take down the new sundial activity. The sundial is still puzzling, but players can travel through time collecting powerful items to revive Saint-14.
In addition to sundial activity, players have a new season pass to hunt. There are also new vacation events like The Dawning and Crimson Days. Later in the season, players can search two new exotic quests for the Weapon of Destiny and the Devil’s Bastion (see above).
The return of Saint-14
In terms of history, Destiny takes a break from the gloom and dreariness to revive a famous hero: Saint-14. Saint-14 is a legendary Titan and friend of Osiris. Players can spot Saint-14 on his Exotic Titan helmet, the Saint-14 helmet.
While he’s never been alive in the game, devoted Destiny players began to follow the story of Saint-14 six years ago when the original Destiny came out. The players learned of his death in Curse of Osiris two years ago and in Season of Dawn they will venture into the past to save Saint from fate.
Solar subclasses upgrades
Bungie
Destiny 2: In Season of Dawn, several solar classes are being redesigned.
Hunter’s Way of the Sharpshooter is becoming increasingly popular, which means it can be viable on most activities without the Celestial Nighthawk Exotic helmet. The Melee Throwing Knife gets a big boost, and players can improve Golden Gun’s damage by consistently shooting headshots before they activate the Super.
Titanium’s subclass “Code of the Devastator” has been badly needed since its inclusion in Forsaken. The Throwing Hammer Attack inflicts more damage, and the Burning Bat Super lasts much longer in both PvP and PvE.
Warlock’s attunement to Sky’s identity is more than ever about flying through the sky. Dawnblade users now have a ranged attack and can use their grenade to gain additional flight time.
Known issues with Season of Dawn
Before lunch in Season of Dawn, Bungie tweeted some familiar issues. These are problems that the studio is already working on, though Bungie will not solve them for several weeks. If you encounter one of these problems, you know that Bungie already knows it.
Prior to Destiny 2: Season of Dawn will be launched on December 10 when the servers are back online. We want players to know certain issues and information before signing up for the first time.

- Players may encounter CHICKEN errors when signing up. Restart the game to fix the problem.
- Players must associate an obelisk with the sundial to receive rewards.
- The Vex season of the Immortal Season is not automatically deleted, though players can safely delete it manually.
- The Savior’s title states that unlock requires 28 triumphs, but only the 15 listed in the Seal.
- Players can die when standing in front of an obelisk.
- Progress may not count toward the A Matter of Time quest if players return to orbit too fast.
- Barrier Champions will not drop their shield when attacked by Divinity.
- The challenges, rituals and engagement triumphs are not progressing properly. A future update will lower the requirements of triumph.

- Grenade loading time has been adjusted to match animations and effects. This should make the activation feeling more consistent.
Stat values
- The cooldown of class abilities is now determined by player statistics.
- The cooldown of Hunter Dodge is changed by their mobility status
- The cooldown on Titan Barricade is changed by its resilience status
- The cooldown of Warlock Rift is changed by the recovery statistics.
- Paragon mods are therefore outdated.
WEAPONS CHANGES
exotics
- divinity
- The attenuation effect of Divinity is no longer comparable to other mitigating effects. The “cage” is still displayed in these cases and acts as a precision weak spot, but the attenuation multipliers themselves are no longer stacked.
- Xenophage
- Increases PvE damage by + 50%
- PvP ammunition from heavy ammo crates has been increased to 4/6 (previously 3/4) for split / undivided crates
- Fixed an issue where this weapon would receive total ammunition if it was swapped by another power weapon for that weapon
- Leviathan’s breath
- Fixed an issue where this weapon would receive total ammunition if it was swapped by another power weapon for that weapon
- Cerberus + 1
- Fixed an issue where repeatedly pressing the trigger would result in a faster rate of fire while the Focused Fire catalyst was activated

- Armor bonuses for this weapon no longer increase the start / respawn ammo in The Crucible
- Monte Carlo
- The “Monte Carlo Method” no longer has a 100% chance of triggering Guardian kills, and now matches the fighter’s chance
Archetype changes

- The effectiveness of Ammo Scavenger mods has been reduced to the level before Shadowkeep to allow stacks of mods
- Generalized Ammo Finder and Ammo Scavenger Mods are unlocked for all players in the pedestals Head Armor Mod and Leg Armor Mod
- Added Season of Dawn Armor Mod Sockets
- Vanguard, Crucible, Gambit, and Iron Banner armor sets fall on this season’s Armor Modification Socket so they can use the new Dawn armor modifications.

- Resolved an issue where opponents with orange bars showed health damage if they died.

REWARD SYSTEMS
Power and progress
- The upper limits for powerful rewards and Pinnacle rewards have been increased

- Some XP sources on Mercury have been redesigned to accommodate newer goals
- Fixed an issue where some chests did not grant XP

- For some levels, a much higher XP boost was required than for the previous levels, and this increase was spread over all levels to make up for this curve
Quests and bounties
- The goals of Strike / Crucible / Gambit on the weekly gunsmithing bounty “Field Calibration” have been combined into a single goal that shares progress from all sources
- Valor / Infamy and Vanguard tokens have been removed from the “Field Calibration” because there is no longer any requirement for any of these linked activities
- Repeatable bounties added to the gunsmith
- Added new mode-specific daily crucible premiums (one per day, selected from full-time playlists and active rotators)
- The completion requirement for several daily and repeatable crucible bounties has been reduced
- Grenade and melee bounties have been removed from the Repeatable Pool of Crucible Bounties
- Fixed a rare issue where the quest item “??????” from the mission “A Mysterious Disturbance” could get stuck in the inventory. It was removed by the affected players

- Fixed an issue where the Season of Opulence versions of Optimacy Armor could not unlock the corresponding collection entries
- The Black Armory Platinum Starling Ship in Collections> Equipment> Ships> Season 5 now correctly states that a player must complete the Mastersmith triumph.
- A problem with the Perfect Gambit Triumph has been fixed. Previously, the triumph was to look for player deaths instead of dropping the motives. The Triumph now correctly checks if any motives have been removed and ignores players who die without motives.
- Fixed an issue where Ennead’s emblem (for handing out gifts to all cats in the Dreaming City) would no longer be awarded when claiming the Triumph “Remember Your Manners.”
- Players affected by this issue will find that they can get the emblem again from their collections> Flair> Emblems> Open World
- A problem with the triumph “WANTED: The Rifleman” was fixed. It will now complete either after the shooting of the shooter or after completion of the associated mission. Players who lack this triumph must play the mission again to receive the triumph.

- The cost of staking a weaponsmod has been reduced from 5000 to 500 shimmer
- Fixed an issue that caused EDC patrols to drop a slightly higher amount of mica than intended
- Fixed a bug that caused Mercury patrols to shed a slightly lower amount than intended
- Fixed a bug that prevented treasure chests moving freely on Mars from giving up mica when opened
- Fixed a bug that prevented treasure chests without mercury from opening mica when opened

Player identity systems

- The Armor 2.0 version of Solstice Armor 2019 now correctly uses the drained and renewed 2019 ornaments and Eververse Ember.
escalation protocol
- Changes and updates to the acquisition of activity rewards for the escalation log
- Escalation protocol The Wave 7 chest does not require a key to open
- The chest can be opened after each successful completion of Wave 7
- With each opening of the chest, you will receive an XP armor for your character class until you have the full set
- After acquiring the full set, random opening armor is awarded by opening the chest
- Downloaded decryption keys and key fragments are removed from the game. These items are removed from the players’ inventories
- Armory keys to spawn Valkyrie spears remain unchanged and are preserved
- EP weapon drops have not been touched and are still cumulative stream boss drops
Iron banner ornaments
