The platforms on which EA UFC 5 will be released are currently unknown. However, it was reported in 2021 that the game was originally planned for a late 2022 release.
Focus on EA Sports UFC 5
In a studio-wide email, EA Canada announced that their focus would be solely on EA Sports UFC 5 for the foreseeable future. This decision aimed to eliminate any split focus and ensure the delivery of a high-quality game.
A Brief History
Back in 2008, EA was approached to develop a game based on the UFC. However, they declined the offer, leading the UFC to partner with THQ, which released three successful UFC titles in a short period of time.
After THQ’s collapse, EA released EA MMA in collaboration with Strikeforce, one of UFC’s rival promotions at the time. Following this, EA entered a multi-year deal with the UFC, leading to the release of the first EA UFC title in 2014.
