Bethesda Releases Starfield Animated Shorts
Bethesda has released three animated shorts for their upcoming sci-fi RPG, Starfield. These shorts offer a glimpse into the main cities of the game.
SUPRA ET ULTRA
“In the city of New Atlantis, capital of the United Colonies, follow Kent, a courier pilot who dreams of living in the most desirable part of the settled systems. After joining the UC Vanguard and working his way up to the Capital’s elite, Kent realizes that his true adventures lie in the stars.”
WHERE HOPE IS BUILT
Vanna, an orphan from Akila City, is determined to explore the stars. The only thing standing in her way is a broken ship. Join Vanna on her search for repair parts, as she navigates through the city and encounters unexpected dangers in pursuit of her dream.
THE HAND THAT FEEDS
Meet Ada and Harper, two street rats surviving in Neon, a pleasure city. They make a living by stealing from wealthy partygoers. When Ada is faced with a moral dilemma, she catches the attention of Ryujin Industries, opening up an exciting new opportunity. But what will be the cost?
Starfield is set to release on September 6 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Bethesda has confirmed that the game will not be available on PS5. According to Pete Hines, the publishing boss at Bethesda, focusing on fewer platforms has been beneficial for the development team. It has allowed them to reduce the development time and cost, thereby reducing the risk.
In an interview with Giant Bomb, Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty stated that if Starfield were released now, it would have the fewest bugs of any Bethesda game ever shipped.
