Fate 2’s newest hotfix ‘repairs’ Wish-ender and some frustrating bugs

Fate 2‘s first brand-new spot in 2020 fixes some nasty bugs, and reverts a cherished weapon back to its initial power level.

On Jan. 16, Bungie launched Hotfix 2.7.0.2 as gamers continue to race through an apparently unsolvable Passages of Time puzzle. The patch is all bug fixes of one kind or another. It re-enables the weekly Gunsmith bounty that’s been out of commission for a couple of weeks, and removes the frustrating, blinking sign above Destiny 2‘s real-money cosmetic store, the Eververse. The spot likewise repaired the frustrating EDZ Obelisk bug, which made the Obelisk nearly difficult to connect with, regardless of needing it for a variety of missions.

All of these bug fixes are good, consisting of modifications to bugs that destroyed the game’s ammunition economy. One patch note destroyed a weapon that just became beneficial– thanks to a bug.

The Wish-ender Exotic bow gotten in Fate 2 last year during the Forsaken expansion. The special perk that used the reward damage was pestered, and dealt around four times as much damage as regular.

Players liked it. Understanding the Wish-ender likely wouldn’t remain bugged for long, gamers began pleading with Bungie. One player asked Bungie to keep the damage of Wish-ender badgered, but make it use Special ammunition– the limited ammo shotguns, combination rifles, and snipers utilize.

However alas, here we are and Wish-ender disappears. You can see the full list of Fate 2‘s hotfix notes on Bungie’s site.

Update: After the Jan. 16 hotfix, gamers found a new method to break the Wish-ender– one potentially a lot more powerful than in the past. Rather of just doing practically 4 times the intended damage on all opponents, the brand-new bug triggers Wish-ender to deal up to 12 times damage in unusual scenarios.

If a player can position themselves behind a pillar or a nonplayer penetrable things, they can fire the Wish-ender shot through the object and into a player or enemy for massive damage. In certain, rare cases, gamer emotes that generate a holographic product into the world– like the Festival of the Lost tombstone– can count as a penetrable object. That means you can theoretically utilize an in-game emote to trigger Wish-ender’s 12 x damage bug.

While this may sound pretty bad if you’re a Fate player, the chances of consistently finding an area to make this bug work are very unusual. However if you happen to get one-shotted by Wish-ender today, it’s probably this brand-new bug that did you in.
