The director of Final Fantasy 14, Naoki Yoshida, jokingly announced that players will have one week to finish Elden Ring’s upcoming DLC before the release of Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail.

Dawntrail will be available for early access on June 28, with the full release following on July 2. Yoshida, also known as Yoshi-P to fans, playfully mentioned that the release date was shifted to avoid conflicting with the highly anticipated Elden Ring DLC.

Shadow of the Erdtree, the title of the new expansion, is set to launch on June 21, 2024, for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. Players will need the base game to enjoy Shadow of the Erdtree, which can be pre-ordered in various editions starting at $39.99 / £34.99.

Those who pre-order will receive an in-game bonus gesture called the Ring of Miquella. The expansion will take players to the Land of Shadow, a mysterious place hidden by the Erdtree, where they will uncover dark secrets and meet others with questionable intentions.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree promises to offer a brand new world for players to explore, filled with diverse landscapes and challenging dungeons inhabited by formidable enemies.
