The first teaser for the long-stretched Black Widow movie shows Natasha Romanoff in action one last time – and a few others for the first time.

The movie takes place right after the events of Captain America: Civil War and before the events of Infinity War. A preview of the San Diego Comic Con revealed the cast with Florence Pugh (Midsommar), David Harbor (Stranger Things), Rachel Weisz (The Mummy) and O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale). Now we see her in action as Natasha Romanoff returns to grapple with her past and erase something red in her ledger.

Pugh plays Yelena Belova, another member of the Black Widow program, who once had a close sisterly relationship with Natasha. The two women compete against each other in this trailer, which also features Rachel Weisz’s enigmatic Melina and our first glimpse of David Harbour’s super soldier / mentor Red Guardian. As for the villain, this is none other than the Taskmaster, whose ability is to learn and perfectly imitate the movements of his opponents.

Black Widow will be premiered on May 1, 2020. It will be the first of the Phase 4 MCU films to launch a new saga and say goodbye to an MCU staple.
