Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 Brings Exciting New Content

Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4: Everything You Need to Know

Fortnite is ready to shake things up as Chapter 6, Season 4 ‘Shock ‘N’ Awesome’ is set to launch on August 7. Players on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and Android can expect a plethora of new weapons, items, skins, and locations.

Before the new season kicks off, there will be a brief period of server downtime starting at 7 AM BST. Matchmaking will be disabled approximately 30 minutes prior to this, so players should maximize their time to complete the current Battle Pass and earn those sweet rewards.

What’s Changing in Season 4

Epic Games shared the exciting news via a tweet, stating, “Calling pest control!” The downtime for v37.00 will begin at 2 AM ET, with matchmaking closing shortly before. PC players should be prepared for a larger-than-usual update, and pre-loading is available for Xbox and PlayStation consoles starting at 1 AM BST on August 7.

With a new season comes a fresh Battle Pass loaded with an array of new skins. Players can look forward to characters like Yoo-mi, Agent Patch, Battle Gamer Mae, Lt. Ripp Slade, and Onyx Winter. Particularly exciting is the instant unlock of the UNSC Spartan skin from Halo upon purchasing the Battle Pass.

But the real highlight? The introduction of the Green Ranger from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, along with the chance to unlock the Dino Megazord Outfit by completing challenges starting on September 16.

New Locations and Fierce Enemies

Season 4 doesn’t just bring new skins; it also adds captivating new map locations. Players can explore The Hive, O.X.R. HQ, and Ranger’s Ruin. The Hive, especially, is intriguing as it’s overrun with pesky bugs. Expect to encounter speedy Swarmers, sneaky Bombers, and the menacing Queen enemies, towering over most buildings!

Armed with exciting new weapons—like the Bug Blaster, Leadspitter 3000 minigun, Sweeper Shotgun, O.X.R. Rifle, Wrecker Revolver, and the Swarmstrike rocket launcher—players will have the tools to fight these invading critters effectively. And that’s not all; later in the season, Power Rangers fans can look forward to discovering the Blade Blaster, along with the ability to pilot the Hammerhead Choppa, automatically gliding for a few seconds while you switch seats to unleash fire.
