Fortnite Update 28.10: Game Updates and Patch Notes
TWO NEW ADVANCED TRACKS
Ready for a new challenge? The latest Fortnite update, v28.10, introduces two new Advanced tracks to the game. These tracks will put your racing skills to the test as you navigate sharp bends, dodging obstacles, and flying off-road to the finish line.
The first new track, Lazy Lake 2, is a perilous spin on a fan favorite. It is unlocked in ranked racing once you reach Gold I. This track will keep you on the edge of your seat with hazards that are working overtime.
The second track, K2 Raceway Deux, is designed for experienced drivers. It features winding roads and plenty of opportunities to catch air. To unlock this track in ranked racing, you’ll need to reach Platinum I and master your racing technique.
NEW CUSTOMIZATION OPTION: TRAILS!
In addition to the new tracks, Rocket Racing introduces a new customization option called Trails. These Trails personalize the dust left behind on the racetrack while drifting past your opponents. Trails are a new type of Locker item that you can use to customize your car.
What’s even more exciting is that Trails will soon be eligible for cross-game ownership. This means that if you obtain Trails in Fortnite, you’ll also own them in Rocket League (and vice versa). The first Trail making its way into Rocket Racing is the Fortnite-original Drift Smoke Trail, which is already available in everyone’s Fortnite Locker. Keep an eye out for more Trails coming to Fortnite in the future.
IMPROVED MOBILE TOUCH CONTROLS
With v28.10, mobile players will experience enhancements to the touch controls in Rocket Racing. The D-pad, accelerate, Turbo, air dodge, and jump buttons have all received visual and usability improvements.
Auto Accelerate is now enabled, and it can be toggled on or off. Additionally, to stop your car, you can now press and hold the brake button. Once you reach 0 on the speedometer, your car will start to reverse.
MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES
The update also brings several major improvements and bug fixes to the game. Some of the notable fixes include:
- Improved overall CPU performance, especially on lower-end devices.
- Sitting idle during a race will now put the player back in the Lobby.
- Car collision is now less severe, with plans for further improvements in future updates.
- Air dodging is now smoother when landing.
- Players can now wiggle and swivel the camera before a race, helping to ease pre-race jitters.
- The “Invert Steer Method” setting now remains enabled when changed.
- Fixed issues related to players getting stuck post-race and language switching on Android.
FLY AWAY WITH LAUNCH PADS
In this update, Fortnite introduces Launch Pads as a new Toy that allows players to quickly move to different locations. By placing a Launch Pad on the ground, players can jump on it and deploy their Glider to travel faster. Craft a Glider using a Level 3 Crafting Bench. For added fun, try placing a Launch Pad on a Dynamic Foundation.

MORE OUTFITS GET A LEGO STYLE!
With this update, more outfits in Fortnite have received a LEGO Style. This means you can use these Outfits in LEGO Fortnite.
HIGHER DETAILED LEGO STYLES FOR OUTFITS
Some outfits that already had a LEGO Style have received higher detailed versions. These higher detailed LEGO Styles will replace the original styles, but starting late February, you’ll have the option to choose between both versions.
