The buzz surrounding Gamescom 2025 is reaching a fever pitch, with organizers reporting record-high interest from game companies. Exhibitor participation has surged by 11 percent compared to the previous year, promising a vibrant showcase for gaming enthusiasts.
This year’s lineup is impressive, featuring major players like CI Games, Electronic Arts, GIANTS Software, and LEGO, among others. Alongside previously announced exhibitors like 2K, Bethesda, and Nintendo, Xbox will undoubtedly enhance the event’s allure.
Exciting Showcases and Entertainment
Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live will be hosted by Geoff Keighley on August 19, creating an electric atmosphere for gamers. Activision leads the charge with the worldwide reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
In response to overwhelming visitor demand, the entertainment area is expanding into Hall 8, while the indie section gains more space in Hall 10.2. For the first time, the event arena will be located in Hall 1, setting the stage for highlights such as The Witcher in Concert and a unique collaboration between Wargaming and the band Sabaton.
Tim Endres, Director of Gamescom, enthused about the growth, stating, “Gamescom 2025 will be bigger, more thrilling, and once again the beating heart of the global gaming community.” With such robust participation from the industry, it’s evident that this year’s event aims to captivate fans and raise the bar.
Felix Falk, Managing Director of The German Games Industry Association, has echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that preparations are well underway. By the end of August, the gaming world will converge in Germany for what promises to be the most spectacular and diverse Gamescom yet.
