Today the coalition will release Operation 2: Free for All. The operations are free quarterly, multiplayer updates that introduce new ways to play Gears 5. Operation 2: Free for All adds four new characters, three game types, five cards, a new Versus season, and a brand new Tour of Duty full of deserving content.
Heroes and villains
Lizzie Carmine and Damon Baird join the fight against Jermad and the original Locust Drone in Gears 5 multiplayer mode. In Arcade, each character is supported by a passive ability and a weapon selection tree that matches a new fighting style. In Horde and Escape, each hero has a unique ultimate ability. Lizzie can summon the powerful silverback, and Baird can use a fearsome DR-1 bodyguard to protect him when things get tricky. Any hero or villain can be earned by playing or can be purchased through the in-game store for 500 irons.

game types
Free for All brings you back to Versus in Gears 5, the biggest mode in Gears history. Fourteen players choose their favorite COG or Swarm character and fight in a fight to achieve the first up to 30 kills.
The second new mode, Arcade Blitz, is a fast, objective mode for the arcade playlist. Players must stay within the Conquest Circle to earn points, resulting in exciting and chaotic battles. The arcade rules apply. Passive abilities and weapon upgrade trees are crucial to leading your team to victory.
The final mode, 2v2 Gnashers, is sure to make the fight personal as two duos work together to land shots and cover their teammates. This mode can be played on Boxing and Foundation Mid. More maps will be available in future operations.

The Allfathers’ Arena is housed in an old Coliseum dedicated to the founding members of COG. Available in Horde and Versus, this unique arena features dynamic coverage areas – the room, the field, and the hall. Each area has three different cover configurations, giving a total of 27 possible card layouts, each one a different way of fighting. Be ready to learn quickly if you want to survive the arena.
Lift returns to Gears 5 with improved lighting and texture quality as well as some new changes. The Best of Lift and Lift Apex has been combined to create the perfect version of the map. Some notable enhancements include the return of the popular “Top Rocks” area to the battlefield and changes to the control room’s shutters, which are now closed and can be freely controlled by the players.

The Tour of Duty in Operation 2: Free for All offers more than 200 exclusive items that can be unlocked by completing daily goals and awarding medals for the entire season. These items include character skins, weapon skins, irons, expressions, executions, and more.

Jermad
This Locust sniper comes from the ranks of the vicious Blooded Vanguard of RAAM, in which he played a key role in the defeat of Sraak.
