Get Ready for Ratatan’s Exciting Early Access Launch

Gamers, get ready for some exciting news! Ratata Arts has just dropped a playable demo of their highly anticipated game, Ratatan, a spiritual successor to the beloved Patapon series. What’s even more thrilling? The game is slated for an Early Access launch on Steam on July 25!

In the demo, players can dive into the vibrant worlds, from the pirate-infested waters of World 1, Pirates of the Parabbean, to the adventurous terrains of World 2, Yeehawler Mountain. With four unique characters to choose from, the demo also offers online co-op support for up to four friends, making the rhythm-driven chaos even more thrilling.

Described as a “rhythmic roguelite packed with beat-driven battles and colorful chaos,” Ratatan invites players to recruit allies and groove their way to victory across the fantastical world of Redo. Build a Cobun army, join forces with friends, and take on nefarious foes eager to spoil your fun!

This game’s journey began with a bang, as it became Kickstarter’s most-funded video game campaign of 2023. The campaign hit its ¥20 million ($137,000 / £108,000) goal within an astonishing hour and ultimately raised over ten times that amount. With nearly 15,000 backers pledging over ¥219.3 million ($1.5m / £1.19m), Ratatan not only secured funding but also unlocked multiple stretch goals.

Among those goals was the development of a console version, along with a collaboration featuring David Wise, the legendary composer known for his work on the Donkey Kong Country series. Wise has contributed a special guest track to Ratatan’s soundtrack, adding to the game’s musical depth.

To top it all off, Ratatan isn’t just bound for PCs. It’s set to release on major platforms including Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch, ensuring that players across the board can immerse themselves in this rhythm-infused adventure.

PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch owners alike are in for a treat come July! The countdown to a vibrant new gaming experience has officially begun.
