The Next Game from the Creator of Nidhogg Revealed
The next game from the creator of the cult multiplayer game Nidhogg has been announced.
Ghost Bike, developed by Messhof, will be published by Annapurna Interactive. It is set to release in 2024 on Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam, with a day one release on Xbox Game Pass.
About Ghost Bike
Ghost Bike is described as a “semi-open” world adventure racing game.
Players will take on the role of a streetwise kid from Freehub City, on a mission to revive the last of the Ghost Bikes. These magical couriers used to ride between the world of the living and the world of the dead.
In order to restore the Ghost Bike, players will need to beat ghosts in contests of speed and skill, and regain the Ghost power necessary to journey to the afterworld. Their goal is to return the true spirit of biking back to Wheel World.
Features and Gameplay
Ghost Bike offers players a variety of challenges, including pro peloton racing, back alley crits, and general tomfoolery. They will also encounter different aspects of bike culture, such as bespoke spokemakers, radical roadies, troublesome tourists, badass BMX’ers, fanatical fans, super fun stunts, intrigue, adventure, and more.
Original Soundtrack
Ghost Bike includes an original soundtrack by independent music label Italians Do It Better. Artists like Chromatics, Glass Candy, and Desire may contribute to the game.
