Goodbye Cavill, hello Hemsworth
The news had however had the effect of a thunderclap years ago: Henry Cavill, charismatic superstar of cinema and a little geek in his spare time, was going to proudly embody the iconic Geralt de Riv for the adaptation of The Witcher series on Netflix. Series which at the very beginning was a hit with insolent figures, on reminds him.
But we have to believe that the project has somewhat tired the Briton, who surprisingly decided to hang up son costume or rather, to give it to someone else: Liam Hemsworthlittle brother of Chris Hemsworth (Thor in the MCU, so to speak).
This transition will therefore take place in Season 4, which is still far from being released and for cause : the third just ended a few days ago, delivering its second part, a month after the first. So it’s official: these were the last episodes with Henry Cavil and inevitably, a lot of fans are already mourning him.
PS Plus Premium to the rescue
The move is totally timely on Sony’s part, but nonetheless clever: The Witcher 3 has just been added to the PlayStation Plus Premium free trials.
As a reminder, subscribers to this formula (the most expensive) have access to a whole catalog of PSOne, PSP, PS2, PS3 games (in cloud gaming), PS4 and PS5. In the heap, PS4 and PS5 games can also be started and played for their first two hours. The idea is obviously to have to buy the full game once the trial period is over, in order to continue playing.
Nevertheless, The Witcher III (recently released on PS5) is not only new in this program: it also gives access to four hours of trial, against two normally. Sony has therefore planned everything and could well try to convert fans of the Netflix series to the video game, considered one of the best of the past decade. In any case, on urge you to jump on it if you haven’t already.
