Heart Machine, the developer behind the popular game Hyper Light Drifter, has just revealed some exciting news for fans eagerly awaiting the release of their new game, Hyper Light Breaker.
After a couple of setbacks, the studio has announced that they are now aiming for a summer launch on Steam Early Access for Hyper Light Breaker. This new game, announced in March 2022, takes a different approach from its predecessor by moving from a 2D to a 3D perspective.
In a statement on Steam, Heart Machine explained that Hyper Light Breaker is an open world, online, rogue-lite game with procedurally generated worlds, offering endless possibilities for players. They are looking to involve the community in the development process through Early Access to receive feedback and improve the game.
While the game is expected to be in Early Access for about a year, Heart Machine is excited to explore this new subgenre of ‘open world rogue-lite’ and are dedicated to creating a game that is both dynamic and engaging for players.
Although Hyper Light Drifter was first released on PC before expanding to consoles and mobile platforms, there is no official announcement yet regarding the console versions of Hyper Light Breaker. Fans will have to stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated game.
