Nightingale Studio Inflexion Games is focusing on creating an offline mode for their latest game. The PVE survival-crafting title, set in a Victorian gaslamp fantasy world, was released on Steam early access by ex-BioWare boss Aaryn Flynn’s new studio.
Players journey through mystical portals to dangerous realms in search of Nightingale, the last safe haven for humanity. While the game can be played solo or with others, it currently requires an internet connection, leading to mixed reviews on Steam.
Some players have expressed frustration with the always-online requirement, citing issues with connectivity and lost progress. In response, Inflexion Games acknowledged the feedback and announced plans to prioritize the development of an offline mode.
The studio explained that their initial focus on co-operative gameplay across multiple realms led to the online-only decision at launch. However, they now understand the desire for an offline option and are working to implement it as soon as possible.
In the meantime, Inflexion Games is also working on quality of life updates, new content, and bug fixes to improve the overall gaming experience. Players can expect these updates to be released alongside the offline mode in the near future.
