Naraka: Bladepoint is an East-influenced online multiplayer brawler that combines melee with Parkour, forcing players into melee action and then acrobatically chasing the terrain with a grapple hook. The title was released today during The Game Awards and is scheduled to be released in 2020 for console and PC. It is developed by the Chinese studio 24 Entertainment.
Naraka plays in what 24 Entertainment calls the “mysterious eastern kingdom of Morus”. Players can use sword-wielding precursors that run along walls, clinging to cliffs, climbing over rocky terrain, and more impressively can call a grapple hook for instant pulling to a desired location. The combat system is said to have unique blocking and parrying techniques, using neither traditional defensive tactics nor a block button.
