Is FromSoftware Teasing Another Epic Game Release?

FromSoftware’s Mysterious New Game in the Works

Gamers, get ready for some thrilling news! FromSoftware, the studio behind the iconic Elden Ring, is reportedly developing a new multiplatform game, codenamed ‘FMC’. This title is rumored to be in advanced stages of production, and we can expect it to drop as early as next year.

According to MP1st, this unannounced game isn’t the only project FromSoftware has on its plate. They’re also working on Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods, and ongoing support for Elden Ring: Nightreign. It looks like the studio is busier than ever!

The intrigue deepens as the publication analyzes the codename ‘FMC’. Historically, FromSoftware’s projects that start with ‘F’ have ties to the Dark Souls series or the Armored Core franchise. This has led fans to speculate whether ‘FMC’ could hint at a new expansion for the upcoming Fires of Rubicon or possibly even a remaster of Dark Souls 3.

Miyazaki’s Vision for the Future

Hidetaka Miyazaki has clarified that despite the announcement of The Duskbloods, FromSoftware isn’t pivoting away from its single-player roots. In his words, “I’ve always found the PvPvE structure very interesting… allowing a broad range of game-design ideas while leveraging our experience with challenging enemy encounters.”

He further emphasized that, “This is an online multiplayer title at its core, but it doesn’t mean that we as a company have decided to shift to a more multiplayer-focused direction.” Fans can rest assured that FromSoftware plans to continue creating immersive, single-player experiences, keeping that beloved formula alive.

As the gaming community buzzes with excitement over these upcoming titles, the anticipation surrounding FromSoftware’s secret project grows. Whether it’s an expansion or a remaster, the promise of new content from this beloved studio is sure to keep fans eagerly waiting.
