John Wick Hex Bid Farewell to Players
Just when fans thought the John Wick gaming universe was safe, a bombshell drops: John Wick Hex is set to be delisted in just a few days. The strategic title, developed by Bithell Games, first hit the scene on December 4, 2020, but will no longer be available for purchase after July 17, 2025.
News of the discontinuation comes directly from publisher Big Fan Games, which announced the delisting on Steam. Players already owning the game won’t lose access, maintaining their digital libraries on PC or Console, but new purchasers will hit a dead end.
No official reason was given for this abrupt decision, but considering the game’s licensed nature, it could stem from contractual conflicts with Lionsgate Games, who holds the rights to the John Wick franchise.
The Game’s Unique Gameplay Experience
For those unfamiliar, John Wick Hex presents a timeline strategy game where players maneuver through hexagonal grids, meticulously planning actions in advance. The clever gameplay mechanics require a blend of strategy and forethought, replicating the precise combat that fans adore.
Adding to its charm, the game features a storyline crafted from scratch, with voice work from Ian McShane and Lance Reddick, both reprising their iconic roles from the films. Let’s not forget the antagonistic presence of Hex, voiced by the talented Troy Baker, enriching the gaming experience further.
Since the release of John Wick Hex, Bithell Games has been busy with titles like Disney’s Tron Catalyst, Amberspire, The Banished Vault, and Arcsmith, proving their knack for unique storytelling and engaging gameplay mechanics.
