Guerrilla Games Creates Lance Reddick Memorial in Horizon: Forbidden West

Guerrilla Games has created a memorial for Lance Reddick in Horizon: Forbidden West to honor the actor who played the role of Sylens in the game series. Reddick passed away at his home in Los Angeles in March at the age of 60.

Although it was not mentioned in the patch notes, Guerrilla confirmed the addition of the in-game tribute to Reddick on Friday.

Guerrilla Games said, “In honor of Lance Reddick, we created a memorial to commemorate the profound impact he had on us all. Thank you, Lance, for everything you brought to the role of Sylens: your gravitas, energy, wisdom, and more. An incomparable talent and friend. We miss you terribly.”

The memorial can be found in the Burning Shores expansion of Horizon: Forbidden West, which was released in April.

Lance Reddick was also known for his role as Commander Zavala in Bungie’s Destiny franchise.

After his passing, Bungie confirmed that Reddick had already recorded dialogue for future content in the game and that they would “honor his presence through his performances yet to come in the game.”
