Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Panel at San Diego Comic-Con

Insomniac Games has announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will have its own panel at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. Key developers and cast members will be present to share new details about the highly anticipated title. The panel, titled ‘Symbiotic Relationships’, will take place in Hall H on Thursday, July 20.

What to Expect

During the panel, attendees will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Insomniac Games’ take on the monstrous Venom and how the symbiote plays a role in the sequel.

Panel Participants

  • Creative Director: Bryan Intihar
  • Game Director: Ryan Smith
  • Narrative Director: Jon Paquette
  • Senior Art Director: Jacinda Chew
  • Actors: Yuri Lowenthal (Peter Parker), Nadji Jeter (Miles Morales), Laura Bailey (Mary Jane Watson), Tony Todd (Venom)
  • Marvel Games Creative Director: Bill Rosemann

New Features and Villains

In May, Insomniac released the first gameplay video for Spider-Man 2, introducing exciting new features and revealing the key villain, Kraven the Hunter. Players will have the ability to seamlessly switch between both Spider-Men, with Peter donning a black symbiote suit that offers unique abilities.

“We’re no stranger to Spider-Man knocking heads, but never like this: he’s much more aggressive and punches certainly aren’t being pulled,” said Insomniac senior community manager Aaron Jason Espinoza. “Symbiote tendrils aggrandize Spider-Man’s silhouette, slamming foes against hard surfaces, dealing no mercy to Kraven’s Hunters.”

Pre-Orders and Release Date

Sony started accepting pre-orders for the PS5 game last month, following the announcement of a release date for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on October 20, 2023.
