In other news, the European Union is investigating Apple’s decision to block Epic Games from releasing Fortnite on iOS devices in Europe. Epic Games Store had a successful year in 2023 with over 270 million customers and 75 million monthly active users in December.
Last year, players spent a total of $950 million on the Epic Games Store, with $310 million on third-party PC games. Epic Games Store also gave away 86 free games in 2023, with a total value of $2,055. Users claimed nearly 586 million free games in 2023.
