Nintendo has exciting news for gamers! Two highly anticipated Nintendo Switch titles now have confirmed release dates.
In a recent video shared on social media in honor of Mario Day, Nintendo announced that Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door will be hitting shelves on May 23, 2024. Fans can also look forward to the release of Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD on June 27, 2024.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is an updated version of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, originally released on Nintendo 3DS in 2023. This enhanced visual edition was first revealed last June.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake, announced in September 2023, will finally make its debut this year, marking twenty years since its original release on GameCube. The game follows Mario as he sets out to rescue Peach from the clutches of alien invaders known as the X-Nauts, gaining a loyal fanbase along the way.
Exciting news doesn’t stop there! Nintendo has also confirmed a new Super Mario Bros. film in collaboration with Illumination. Set to explore the world of Super Mario Bros., the movie is scheduled for release on April 3, 2026. While the directors and writer of the previous film are on board, Nintendo has hinted that this film may offer a fresh take rather than a direct sequel.
