Developer NetherRealm Reveals Six New Fighters Coming to Mortal Kombat 1

NetherRealm, the developer of Mortal Kombat 1, has officially revealed six new fighters that will be added to the game as DLC post-release. The announcement was made by Warner Bros. in a new trailer released on Friday.

The Six DLC Fighters:

  • Quan Chi
  • Omni Man
  • Ermac
  • Takeda
  • Peacemaker
  • Homelander

In addition to the DLC news, a new story trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 has also been released, revealing more returning characters and Kameo fighters.

Mortal Kombat 1, developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games, is set to be released on September 19, 2023. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

According to Warner Bros., Mortal Kombat 1 will introduce a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe, created by the Fire God Liu Kang. The game will feature reimagined versions of iconic characters like never seen before.

If you pre-order Mortal Kombat 1, you will receive Shang Tsung as a playable character. Additionally, players who pre-order for PS5 or Xbox Series X/S will have early access to a Mortal Kombat 1 beta in August.
