Get ready for the arrival of the new DLC guest fighter, Peacemaker, in Mortal Kombat 1 next week. Warner Bros Games and NetherRealm Studios have released a new trailer showing the Suicide Squad character in action. The trailer also reveals that John Cena’s voice and likeness will be featured in the game, with new dialogue specifically recorded for the game.
According to Warner Bros Game, Peacemaker is ready to challenge Liu Kang’s New Era of peace with a formidable moveset incorporating expert gunslinging skills, signature helmet abilities, and a loyal bald eagle sidekick, Eagly, all complemented by legendary dance moves and brash humor.
In addition to Peacemaker, a new character named Janet Cage, a female version of Johnny Cage, will be added to the game as a Kameo character. Janet briefly appears as one of the alternate dimension fighters near the end of the game’s Story mode, but now officially joins the Kameo roster, both as part of the Kombat Pack and for standalone purchase.
Kombat Pack owners will be able to start using Peacemaker from February 28, with a full release on March 6 for other players to purchase. Janet Cage will then be available as a Kameo character later in March.
And that’s not all! February 28 will also mark the addition of cross-play support, allowing PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC players to play each other in 1 vs 1 Kombat League matches, Kasual matches, and Private matches as previously promised by NetherRealm.
