PixelJunk Eden 2 Coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5

PixelJunk Eden 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later this year, according to an announcement by Q-Games CEO Dylan Cuthbert on the official PlayStation Blog.

Original Release and Platform Availability

Originally released on the Switch in 2020, PixelJunk Eden 2 hasn’t been made available on any other platform since.

Exclusive PlayStation Titles

The entire first run of PixelJunk games, including Racers, Monsters, Eden, Shooter, Shooter 2, SideScroller, 4am, and Nom Nom Galaxy, were exclusively available on PlayStation consoles from 2007 to 2015. Some of these titles later received PC ports.

Expanding to Other Systems

The second series of PixelJunk games, starting in 2018, started appearing on other systems like the Switch and Apple Arcade.

About PixelJunk Eden

The original PixelJunk Eden was exclusive to PS3 and featured players controlling Grimps, small creatures that attach themselves to plants and can spin and jump from them.

Enhancements for PS5 Version

The PS5 version of Eden 2 will feature full 4K visuals and take advantage of the unique functionality of the DualSense controller. The DualSense light bar reacts to changes in the current level, creating a personalized light show for each unique environment. Additionally, haptic feedback and gyro sensor precision control enhance the player’s immersion and gameplay experience.

Upcoming Release

In addition to the PixelJunk Eden 2 news, it was also announced that a new ‘Deluxe’ version of the beat ’em up game PixelJunk Scrappers, previously exclusive to Apple Arcade, will be launching on PlayStation, Switch, and PC on July 27.
