“The Pokémon Company has exciting news for fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game with the announcement of Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket.
Set to launch on iOS and Android devices in 2024, this new digital experience will allow players to easily collect Pokémon cards in a new digital format. The game is being developed in collaboration with Creatures Inc. and DeNA, the same team behind Pokémon Masters EX.
According to Takato Utsunomiya, chief operating officer of The Pokémon Company, the game will provide a fresh take on the classic Pokémon card collecting experience that has been beloved by fans since 1996.
Creatures Inc. president and CEO Yuji Kitano promises an immersive experience with cards that bring the world of Pokémon to life. The game will also feature streamlined game rules for quick battles on the go.
Players can look forward to opening two packs of digital cards for free every day, providing plenty of opportunities to expand their collections.
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket was unveiled during a Pokémon Presents showcase, where fans also learned about the upcoming release of Pokémon Legends Z-A, a new adventure heading to Nintendo Switch in 2025.”
