A new update for PUBG, known as Update 28.2, has recently been released. This update is accessible across all gaming platforms, as well as on PC. Players can now download this update, which introduces bug fixes, improvement updates, and patch notes for the game. It is worth noting that the file size of this update may differ depending on the gaming platform being used.

- Erangel has been transformed into a venue for PUBG’s 7th anniversary celebration.
- School has been decorated for the celebration, while cafeterias across the map have become anniversary cafes.
- Vending machines with a 7% chance of serving 7 energy drinks have been added.
- Throwable cupcakes and surprise gift boxes can be found on the starting island of each map.
- 7th Anniversary billboards are live in Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikendi, and Rondo.
- Various other 7th Anniversary objects and decorations have been added.
Gunplay Labs
- The SMG Rebalance, as outlined in the PUBG 2024 Roadmap announcement, is now available in the Arcade.
Survey
- A survey has been prepared to gather player feedback on the SMG Rebalance chang
- Survey period runs from March 13 to April 4.
SMG Rebalance:
- Movement speed for wielding SMGs has been modified to align with the speeds of an unarmed state.
- MP5K: Damage increased, recoil decreased.
- Micro UZI: Recoil decreased.
- Vector & Tommy Gun: Recoil decreased.
- PP-19 Bizon: Damage increased, recoil decreased.
- UMP45: Damage increased, recoil decreased.
- Damage reduction and minimum damage adjustments made for all SMGs (except P90) for medium and long-range shots.
Recall System
- Recall System has replaced Comeback BRs on Vikendi and Taego based on player feedback.
- Available in Normal Match.
- Comeback BRs have been removed from these maps.
- Recall system added for Vikendi and Taego in Custom Match.
Utility Belt
- Utility Belt has been removed in this update.
- Its capacity feature has been integrated into the character’s basic stats.
- Utility Belt skins have been removed, and compensations will be distributed to players who owned Utility Belt skins.
Gameplay
Ghillie Suit:
- Added a dedicated inventory slot for the Ghillie Suit.
- Equipping the Ghillie Suit will now hide existing outerwear instead of dropping it on the ground.
- Any looted outerwear will be automatically hidden when equipped with the Ghillie Suit.
Weapon Mastery
- Weapon Mastery has been expanded to include throwables and more.
- Seven new weapons have joined Weapon Mastery.
- Frag Grenade, Molotov Cocktail, Sticky Bomb, BZ Grenade, C4, Panzerfaust, Mortar.
- Damage inflicted with these weapons will be reflected in stats on the End of Match, Career, and Match Report pages.
- The weapons that make the final hit will be displayed on the player’s profile.
- Weapon Mastery stats for these weapons will accumulate starting from this update.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed various gameplay, world, UX/UI, and item/skin-related bugs.
