Remedy Reveals Codename Condor: A Co-op Multiplayer Control Spin-off with a €25 Million Development Budget

Remedy Reveals Details About Codename Condor, A Co-op Multiplayer Spin-Off of Control

Remedy has exciting news about Codename Condor, a new co-op multiplayer game set in the Control universe. With a development budget of €25 million ($27.1m), this title marks Remedy’s first foray into service-based games.

Utilizing Remedy’s powerful Northlight engine, Codename Condor is scheduled to begin full production this year for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game takes place in the aftermath of the Hiss Invasion, with the Oldest House now filled with dangerous supernatural forces.

Players will step into the shoes of the Federal Bureau of Control’s last defenders, facing daunting challenges and enemies within the Oldest House. By working together and using their resources wisely, players can strive for survival in this intense co-op experience.

In a departure from free-to-play models, Remedy has opted for a “service-based fixed price” approach for Codename Condor. This means players can expect ongoing updates, expansions, and potential microtransactions to keep the game fresh and engaging.

In addition to Codename Condor, Remedy is also working on exciting projects like the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, funded by Rockstar Games. CEO Tero Virtala has confirmed that the remake has a budget on par with Alan Wake 2, indicating a high-quality gaming experience in the works.

Fans of Alan Wake and Control can look forward to more sequels in the future, as Remedy plans to deliver a more consistent stream of content for these beloved franchises. Get ready for an immersive and thrilling gaming experience with Remedy’s upcoming titles.
