A new update for Remnant 2, known as Update 1.000.024, has recently been released. This update is accessible across all gaming platforms, as well as on PC. General
- Support for FSR 3: Players now have the option to access FSR 3 in the Video Settings, providing improved visual fidelity.
- Fixed Gunslinger Archetype Lockout: Previously, players who initially started with the Gunslinger Archetype from the pre-order bonus but switched to a different machine or account would be locked out of their character. This issue has now been resolved.
- Friend Invites for Sony PlayStation 5: Players can now send and receive friend invites on the Sony PlayStation 5, enhancing the social aspect of the game.
Balance
General
DEV NOTE: While a larger balance patch is planned for DLC2, these adjustments have been made to certain elements to set the stage for the upcoming patch. These changes offer more flexibility and experimentation until the larger balance patch is released.
Archetypes
Hunter
- Reduced Hunter’s Focus ADS Requirement: The ADS (Aim Down Sight) requirement for the Hunter’s Focus ability has been reduced from 1 second to 0.5 seconds. This means that players only need to aim for half a second before the Hunter’s Focus bonus is applied.
Challenger
- Die Hard Improvement: Die Hard now grants 1 Stack of Bulwark while it is unavailable. Previously, the 10-minute cooldown for Die Hard made it less impactful, so this change makes the perk more beneficial during its downtime.
- War Stomp Adjustment: War Stomp now deals Explosive Damage, increasing its overall effectiveness in combat.
Medic
- No changes have been made to the Medic Archetype, as it is already considered powerful and balanced.
Handler
- Pack Hunter Enhancement: Pack Hunter no longer requires the Companion to be “up” to grant the bonus. This change allows the Handler to receive damage bonuses as long as they are in range of their Companion.
- Melee Damage and Melee Crit Chance Increase: Pack Hunter now also increases Melee Damage and Melee Crit Chance, offering more versatility to the Handler’s playstyle.
- Companion Howl Size Adjustment: The size of Companion Howls is now affected by Aura size increases, providing a more immersive and impactful experience for the Handler.
Gunslinger
- Quick Draw Charge Increase: Quick Draw charges have been increased by +1, allowing Gunslingers to pull off more quick and precise shots.
- Damage Increase: Damage has been increased by 50%, making the Gunslinger even more deadly in combat.
Summoner
- Dominator Enhancement: Dominator now gains the Explosive damage type, expanding the Summoner’s options for powerful explosive attacks.
- Removal of Ranged/Melee Damage Increase: Dominator no longer grants a damage increase to Ranged/Melee attacks on Sacrifice. This decision was made to align the Summoner more with a Minion-focused playstyle.
- Bonus to Mod/Skill/Explosive Damage: Dominator now always grants a bonus to Mod, Skill, and Explosive damage, providing a consistent boost to these areas.
Alchemist
- Frenzy Dust Adjustment: Melee Speed and Melee Charge Speed have been added to Frenzy Dust, improving the Alchemist’s melee combat abilities.
- Skill Reset for Thrown Vial: If Thrown Vials do not find the ground after a certain period of time, a skill reset will be triggered, preventing wasted resources.
- Flash Caster and Throw Speed Benefits: Flash Caster and Throw Speed now benefit Vial Skills, enhancing their effectiveness and versatility in combat.
Engineer
- Ranged Damage Increase: Metalworker (Damage Perk) now adds Ranged Damage, with a maximum increase of 25% at Level 10. This change makes the Engineer more viable with their primary and secondary weapons when not using Heavy Weapons.
- Critical Hits for Turrets: Turrets can now perform Critical Hits, further increasing the Engineer’s damage output.
Archon
- Chaos Gate Damage Increase: The damage of Chaos Gate has been increased from 15% to 50%, offering a significant boost in offensive capabilities.
- Incoming Damage Increase: Chaos Gate now causes increased incoming damage by 15% for 10 seconds after leaving the area, adding a tactical tradeoff for the player.
- Mod Generation with Power Creep: Power Creep now properly allows Mod Generation while a Mod is active, improving the overall efficiency of the Archon’s abilities.
Invader
- S.H.A.R.K. Stacks: Stacks of S.H.A.R.K (Prime Perk) now fall off one at a time, providing better control and management of the buff.
- Duration Adjustment: The total duration of S.H.A.R.K. has been reduced to 10 seconds from 15 seconds, balancing the power of the buff.
- Perfect Dodge/Evade Enhancement: Perfect Dodge/Evade now instantly grants 5 stacks of S.H.A.R.K, rewarding precise gameplay and quick reflexes.
Explorer
- Gold Digger Animation Speed Increase: The dig animation of Gold Digger has been dramatically sped up, allowing players to quickly gather resources in the heat of combat.
Ritualist
- Erupt Damage Adjustment: Erupt now deals Explosive damage, improving its overall effectiveness.
- Deathwish Modification: Deathwish now respects the Kinship Trait again, but no longer gets reduced by Armor. Additionally, Deathwish no longer kills the player and instead leaves them at 1 HP, ensuring a more balanced and survivable experience.
Gear/Items
- Atonement Fold Voice Line Disabling: Voice lines for “I’m Bleeding” have been disabled while wearing the Atonement Fold ring, preventing repetitive and distracting callouts.
- Point Focus Ring Spread Reduction Adjustment: Spread Reduction has been reduced from 35% to 25% for the Point Focus Ring, slightly lowering its effectiveness.
- Focusing Jewel Spread Reduction Adjustment: Spread Reduction has been reduced from 35% to 30%, while Recoil Reduction has been increased from 25% to 50% for the Focusing Jewel, rebalancing its benefits.
- Spread Reduction Fragment Adjustment: Max Spread Reduction has been reduced from 30% to 20%, and Min Spread Reduction has been reduced from 3% to 1% for the Spread Reduction Fragment, ensuring a more reasonable limit on spread reduction capabilities.
- Tranquility Font Spread Reduction Adjustment: Spread Reduction for the Tranquility Font has been reduced from 35% to 25%, aligning it with other gear adjustments.
- Feedback Mutator and Reprocessed Heart: These items can now generate Mod Power while a Mod is active, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Mod usage.

Anguish
- Weapon Scaling Fix: Fixed an issue where weapon scaling for Anguish would cap at 2x instead of the intended 3x (Level 10). This fix ensures accurate damage scaling.
Crescent Moon
- Overcharged Shot Adjustment: Overcharged Shots during Moonlight Barrage will no longer shoot 2 Bolts. This change maintains the total damage potential of the weapon but requires players to hit a perfect charge for maximum damage.
Twisted Arbalest
- Guardian Mark Refresh: Primary Fire now refreshes any current Guardian Mark on hit while the Mod is active, improving the reliability and consistency of the ability.
Nebula
- Corrosive Damage Adjustment: Nanoswarm now applies a very small Corrosive Damage over Time (DOT), enhancing its overall effectiveness.
Huntress Spear
- Corrosive DOT Addition: The Huntress Spear now has a small Corrosive DOT on hit, providing additional damage over time to enemies.
- Projectile and Charge Speed Increase: Projectile Speed and Charge Speed have been increased for the Huntress Spear, making it more effective and satisfying to use.
Spectral Blade
- AOE/AURA Trait Removal: The ability of the Spectral Blade to scale with AOE/AURA traits has been removed, aligning it with intended design.

- Missing Weapons in Wards: Fixed an issue where the MP60-R or Chicago Typewriter wouldn’t spawn in some players’ Wards, ensuring all players have access to these weapons.
