When Red Dead Redemption 2 was launched on November 5 for Windows PC, there were some . problems. Some players were unable to launch the Rockstar Games Launcher required to run the game. Others were repeatedly thrown out of the game. People who could come into play had stutters or other problems.
Most of the problems seem to have been resolved, but it took a while. Rockstar Games apologized to PC players on November 13 and promised corrections. These fixes have since been introduced – and players see fewer problems.
“After a series of updates to the game, the Rockstar Games Launcher, and the latest NVIDIA drivers, the vast majority of performance issues for Red Dead Redemption 2 are fixed on the PC,” wrote a Rockstar representative in Newswire. “That means we will continue to work on tackling all remaining issues as we move forward.”

It also explains what players are given in the Red Dead Online Player Care Package. Along with a Prieto Poncho, which is available for free at Camp Wardrobe or at clothing stores, players will receive a range of other items:
- 100x revolver express ammunition
- 100x Pistol Express ammunition
- 100x repeater express ammunition
- 100x Rifle Express ammunition
- 100x shotgun slugs
- 20x shotgun incendiary bombs
- 20x fire arrows
- 20x poison throwing knife
- 20x volatile fire bottles
- 10x Potent Miracle Tonic – restores health, stamina and the dead eye and strengthens moderately
- 3x Horse Reviver – invigorates the horse from serious injuries and restores his health moderately
- 10x Minty Big Game – Restores all cores and earns a Gold Health Core
- 20x Baked Beans – Restores health core and stamina core moderately
People with Red Dead Online characters should have already received the items and can pick them up at the Camp Lock Box or at a post office. If you have not tried Red Dead Online before, you’ll need to create a character and “the package will be available to you within 24 hours,” said Rockstar.
The next update of Red Dead Online is scheduled for December for Windows PC, Stadia, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players. PC players will receive a Marino Bandolier variant and a hand holster as a gift. More details on the December update will be available “in the coming weeks”.
