RUST UPDATE 1.86
COMMUNITY SERVER CHANGES
Improved Server List Visibility
- In this update, we have addressed an issue that was causing servers to be invisible in the server list. Previously, players were experiencing difficulties in finding and accessing servers due to this bug. However, we have made significant improvements to the server list, ensuring that all servers are now visible and easily accessible. Players will no longer face any inconvenience in locating their desired servers, leading to a smoother gaming experience overall.
Restrictions on Map Size
- To maintain fairness and balance in the game, we have implemented a restriction on map sizes for community servers. With this update, community servers will no longer be able to create maps larger than 3K (3 kilometers). This change is aimed at creating a level playing field for all players and preventing any unfair advantages that could arise from excessively large maps. By implementing these restrictions, we hope to foster fair competition and provide an enjoyable gameplay experience for all players.
Team Mixing Issue Resolved
- We have successfully fixed a bug that was causing teams to be incorrectly saved, resulting in teams mixing up. Previously, players were facing issues where their teams were not being saved correctly, leading to confusion and disruptions during gameplay. With this update, teams will now clear once more and persist correctly, ensuring that players can form and maintain their teams without any mishaps. This fix will greatly enhance the team-based gameplay experience and prevent any inadvertent mixing of teams.
Improved Team Functionality
- Another bug fix in this update addresses an issue where players were unable to leave their team when they were in close proximity to the team leader. Previously, players could find themselves stuck in a team even if they desired to leave, causing frustration and inconvenience. With this fix, players will now be able to easily leave their team, regardless of their proximity to the team leader. This improvement will grant players the freedom and flexibility to assemble and disband teams as they see fit, enhancing the overall gameplay experience and promoting teamwork.
KNOWN ISSUES
Map Size Display Issue
- While we have implemented the restriction on map sizes for community servers, there may be a temporary visual issue in the server list. Some maps that exceed the 3K limit might still be shown. However, rest assured that this is purely a visual bug and does not affect the actual gameplay. We are actively working on resolving this issue and will provide a permanent fix in the upcoming updates. So, players can continue to enjoy the game without any worries about map size restrictions.
