  • The latest update for Skull and Bones, version 1.000.004, introduces exciting new content and much-anticipated fixes. In this update, players can look forward to the Kingpin Bounties event and the Jaws of Retribution expansion.   • Kingpin Bounties: Starting in Week 2, from March 5 to 26, 2024, players can participate in Kingpin Bounties. This event features three unique contracts: The African Ailment, The Pursuing Plague, and The Encroaching Epidemic. Completing these contracts will reward players with seasonal vanities for their captain and ship. In addition, there is a repeatable contract called Peste Control, where players must deliver two Plaguebringer Captain heads to Robin Blackwood to earn Silver and White Skull Gin.
  • Jaws of Retribution: Starting in Week 5, from March 26 to April 16, 2024, players can dive into the Jaws of Retribution expansion. This new update introduces Zamaharibu as the main character, adding an exciting element to the game’s storyline.
  • Smuggler Pass: A mysterious messenger has arrived at the docks of Sainte-Anne, offering brand new blueprints from foreign lands. Players can complete challenges to obtain these exclusive blueprints, further enhancing their gameplay experience.
  • Carronade: Introducing a revolutionary lightweight cannon with advanced design, boasting power, accuracy, and low recoil at the expense of range. This new ship equipment will bring a fresh dynamic to naval battles.
  • Wailing Ward: Engineered by La Peste’s cronies, this ship equipment is coated with a special surface to resist toxic weaponry. Players can now endure more effectively when facing enemies from La Peste faction.
  • La Peste Schematics I: This ship perk increases damage to weak points on enemy ships by 10% and reveals weak points on the Fleet of Pestilence. Utilizing this perk will give players a distinct advantage against their adversaries.

Gameplay Improvements:

  • Legendary Heist: Ambushers will now exhibit more threatening behaviors to players who have obtained the Helm-coveted loot.
  • Ambushers will spawn more frequently and may spawn in larger numbers each time.
  • Hostile Takeover: Increased the participation capacity of Manufactories during a Hostile Takeover Opportunity across various regions, such as Coast of Africa, Red Isles, and East Indies.
  • Rebalanced the generation of Opportunities based on the number of players who have unlocked a region, ensuring a fair and balanced experience for everyone.

Ship Perks and Ship Rank:

  • Bedar: Adjusted the Lancer perk available on the Bedar to reduce the flooding status effect damage dealt. This adjustment aims to increase fairness during combat against both player versus player (PVP) and player versus environment (PVE) targets.
  • Ship Rank: The maximum cap for ship rank has been increased from 11 to 12, allowing players to progress further and unlock more powerful abilities for their ships.

Ship Equipment:

  • The gear scores of various Epic-tier equipment have been adjusted, such as Carronade, Blue Specter, Dardanelles Gun, Twinwinch Ballista, Le Fléau, Wrathful Ward, and Black Prince. These adjustments aim to make Ship Rank 12 more accessible to players.

Contracts and World Events:

  • Reduced the Skirmisher spawn rate for the “Unwelcome Aboard” contract, providing a more balanced gameplay experience.
  • Changed the invite condition for “The Colonial Ship” World Event to Infamy Tier 9, Cutthroat, ensuring a fair challenge for players.
  • Various updates and fixes have been implemented for contract-related issues, ensuring smooth progression within the game.

Captain’s Logbook, Tutorial, Goods & Resources, Graphics, and Others:

  • Improved functionalities and user experience in the Captain’s Logbook, tutorial system, goods and resources management, graphics resolution, and miscellaneous areas.
