Release Date Clash: Sonic Superstars vs Super Mario Bros Wonder

Get ready for an epic showdown between two legendary mascots! According to a listing on US retailer Target’s website, Sonic Superstars is set to be released on October 17, just three days before Super Mario Bros Wonder.

The news was further confirmed by a tweet from Sonic Stadium, where they spotted the same release date on retailer GameStop’s listing for Sonic Superstars.

If the information is accurate, it means Sonic and Mario fans will have a thrilling face-off, with Super Mario Bros Wonder hitting the shelves on October 20.

Pre-Order Bonus and Features

Target’s listing reveals an exciting pre-order bonus for Sonic Superstars. Players will receive a Lego Eggman in-game character skin, an acrylic display stand, and a reversible game cover.

Both games offer traditional side-scrolling 2D gameplay and introduce co-op play. Sonic Superstars, for the first time in the franchise, allows up to four players to join forces.

What to Expect in Sonic Superstars

Sonic Superstars, developed by Arzest, brings back Sonic and his friends, including Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose. The game takes place on the enchanting North Star Islands, offering players a chance to explore never-before-seen environments and unravel a captivating story.

In addition, players can unlock brand-new abilities called the Emerald Powers by collecting Chaos Emeralds. This will help Sonic and his friends face enormous creatures, thrilling adventures, and the evil plans of Dr. Eggman.

Discover the Wonders in Super Mario Bros Wonder

Super Mario Bros Wonder marks the first entirely new 2D Mario adventure in 11 years since New Super Mario Bros U in 2012. The game introduces the Wonder Flower as its main gimmick. Touching a Wonder Flower in the game unlocks a world of surprises, as pipes come alive, hordes of enemies appear, and characters change their looks, transforming the gameplay in unexpected ways.
