Sony is set to enhance the PlayStation 5 experience with the addition of user-generated videos to the Game Help feature later this year.

Game Help was originally introduced as a PlayStation Plus benefit, giving players access to hints, tips, and walkthrough videos created by developers without leaving supported games or using the PlayStation App.

The new Community Game Help feature will expand the library of helpful game hints by including videos automatically generated from gameplay footage of players who have chosen to contribute. This will be available to all PS5 players, with or without a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Players will soon have the option to share gameplay videos, which will be captured by the PS5 when completing certain activities in a game. These videos will be uploaded to Sony’s servers, reviewed by a moderator, and potentially published as Game Help hints for other players to watch and rate. Players will receive notifications if their videos are published, and they can choose to unpublish them at any time.

The Community Game Help feature will first launch in select games later this year, with plans to expand to more titles in the future.

In other news, specifications for the rumored PS5 Pro console have been leaked online. The console is said to feature a DLSS equivalent that can upscale 1080p games to 4K, and will offer backward compatibility with existing PS5 games through patches.
