Square Enix announced the release date for Final Fantasy 16’s The Rising Tide expansion. Priced at $19.99, the second story DLC will be available on April 18, 2024.
During a PAX East panel, the release date was revealed along with a new trailer. The expansion takes players on a journey to rescue the Dominant of Leviathan in the hidden land of Mysidia.
Players can also purchase the Expansion Pass for $24.99, which includes both The Rising Tide and the first DLC, Echoes of the Fallen.
Producer Naoki Yoshida hinted that there may not be more DLC for Final Fantasy 16 after the announced expansions, but the possibility is not ruled out completely. The team is open to new challenges and projects in the future.
