Square Enix is addressing the visual issues in the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth game with an update scheduled for next week. Players have reported problems when playing in performance mode after the release of the demo last week.

In response to this, Square Enix announced that the update for the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo on February 21st will improve the visual quality when selecting ‘Performance Mode’ from the graphics options. These improvements will also be applied to the full game.

The performance mode allows players to maintain a 60 frames per second frame rate, while the graphics mode prioritizes 4K resolution. The demo currently allows players to control protagonist Cloud and primary antagonist Sephiroth in an extended flashback section, and an update this month will expand the demo to include part of the Junon region.

The second game in the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy is set to be released for PS5 on February 29, 2024, and will be exclusive to Sony’s console for at least three months.
