Great news for Stardew Valley fans! Eric Barone, the creator of the game, has announced that the highly anticipated 1.6 update will be released for PC next month on March 19th. Console and mobile versions will also follow shortly after.
This update, the sixth major post-release update for the beloved country-life RPG, will feature exciting new content including a big new festival, two mini-festivals, fresh late-game content, new items and crafting recipes, 100+ new lines of dialogue, winter outfits for villagers, and support for 8-player multiplayer on PC.
Originally planned as a modding-focused update, 1.6 has now expanded in scope to include more new game content. Barone expressed his gratitude for the support over the years and thanked fans for their patience as the update nears completion.
