Tango Gameworks releases Arcade Challenge Update
Tango Gameworks has released Hi-Fi Rush’s Arcade Challenge update, offering new modes and exciting rewards for players.
New Modes: BPM Rush and Power Up! Tower Up!
The update introduces two new modes: BPM Rush and Power Up! Tower Up!. These modes can be unlocked once players have finished the game.
New Enemies and Unlockable Rewards
Arcade Challenge also introduces two new enemies and offers unlockable rewards, including Special Attacks, fresh costumes, and a secret prize for completing all 40 challenges associated with the new modes.
BPM Rush: Battle to the Beat
In BPM Rush mode, players engage in battles against waves of enemies while keeping up with the steadily increasing beats per minute (BPM) of the music. The BPM can reach up to 200, offering a thrilling and fast-paced experience.
Power Up! Tower Up!: A New Twist
Power Up! Tower Up! presents the Rhythm Tower challenge with a twist. Between rounds, players can utilize Upgrades to boost Chai’s stats and gain helpful benefits, but at the cost of a lowered score multiplier. Additionally, Bugs can be collected to increase the score potential and aim for stylish S-Ranks, but they also come with a cost.
New Special Attacks and Photo Mode Enhancements
The Arcade Challenge! Update! features new Special Attacks starring CNMN and Smidge, the mechanical buddies, along with new challenges to earn Photo Mode stickers. Players can also enjoy new t-shirts for Chai, outfits for Korsica, and experiment with new poses and filters in Photo Mode.
Studio Head Shinji Mikami’s Departure
In February, Bethesda confirmed that Shinji Mikami, the studio head of Tango Gameworks, would be leaving the company. Mikami was known for his work on games like Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo.
