As we have known for more than a year now, in the event of a marriage between Activision and Microsoft, the Activision Blizzard King teams will refer directly to Phil Spencer, placed at the head of the Microsoft Gaming entity. At the helm of the company for more than 30 years, Bobby Kotick therefore envisages a future possible without Activision if Microsoft decides. In the rest of the interview, the boss Activision pays tribute to Phil Spencer and Satya Nadella, and he assures him: his employees are eager to work with the Redmond firm thanks to the corporate culture established by Nadella.

When it comes to the redemption soap opera, it may be experiencing its final moments. The new closing date is set for October 18, 2023, but Spencer’s teams believe agreements will be reached before then. As evidence of its confidence in a quick resolution, Microsoft will pay $3.5 billion in compensation if the deal isn’t completed by August 29. This amount will reach 4.5 billion dollars if the date of September 15 is exceeded.
