Destiny’s Dawning Event – the franchise version of the Winter Vacation – will start on December 17, and Bungie has released a new post and trailer that teases the way it works.
Like last year, guards can meet with Eva Levante and bake cookies for the heroes of the solar system. In 2018, players were given an oven by Eve and could improve it during the holidays to earn more rewards and give more gifts. Players combined various ingredients to prepare treats tailored to the taste of their favorite character.
During this year’s tournament, players can earn a new ship with winter motif and Sparrow from Eva. Players who missed dawning last year also have the opportunity to earn some of the 2018 rewards. New in 2019 is the cold-front submachine gun – though it’s not clear how the players can collect one for themselves.
As always, the Eververse store will be equipped with some new holiday articles. Players can buy new emotes, ghost shells, and armor ornaments from Tess with Silver and Bright Dust.
There is no mention of a unique activity for the Dawn that may not exist this year due to the recent launch of Season of Dawn. Dawning is free for all Destiny 2 players regardless of whether they bought the last season or the Shadowkeep expansion.
