Exciting news for fans of HBO’s The Last of Us! Season two of the hit show has added four new cast members.
Danny Ramirez, known for his roles in Top Gun: Maverick and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, will be playing Manny. Manny is described as a loyal soldier with a sunny outlook, but carrying the weight of old wounds and a fear of failing his friends when they need him most.
Tati Gabrielle, from You and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, will take on the role of Nora. Nora is a military medic struggling to come to terms with her past sins.
Ariela Barer, seen in How to Blow Up a Pipeline and Runaways, will portray Mel. Mel is a young doctor dedicated to saving lives, but facing challenges in the midst of war and tribalism.
Spencer Lord, known for roles in Riverdale and Family Law, will play Owen. Owen is described as a gentle soul trapped in a warrior’s body, unwilling to hate the enemy he must fight.
Also, it was revealed earlier this year that Kaitlyn Dever and Young Mazino will be joining the cast as Abby and Jessie, respectively.
Co-creator Craig Mazin has hinted that the second season of The Last of Us won’t cover the entire storyline of the video game, and there are plans for the series to potentially run for three to five seasons.
Production for season two started in February after being delayed by the Writers Guild of America strike, with a planned release in 2025.
