Since the launch of Apex Legends earlier this year, the cap has been set to 100. However, the most dedicated players in the game have reached this milestone a long time ago and no new levels. Respawn Entertainment will soon raise the level cap in Apex Legends to 500.

This new boost also brings a few changes in the way players unlock rewards as they reach the level. The first levels will always grant an Apex package, from level 2 to level 20. Players will then receive a package every two levels up to level 300. Then a package every five levels. This means that there are now a total of 199 Apex packages that you can earn when you upgrade to Apex Legends. Each of these levels will continue to earn you 600 Legend Tokens just as before.

These new changes also mean that you now earn 59 Apex packages on your journey through the first 100 levels, rather than the 45 you earned before. For players who have already reached the previous level cap, Respawn will reward you with all the Apex packages you would have earned with the new system. This means that each Level 100 user will receive 14 additional Apex packages when logging in after this new system has been put into service.

Along with all of these additional packages, players also have the option of earning new weapon tags and level badges as their levels increase. Respawn also reduces the total amount of XP needed by this new system to replenish early. The highest amount of EP, 18,000, is now only used at level 58, while it was used at level 26. The total XP required to reach 100 is reduced by about 5 percent, which means that returning players will likely earn some levels for free once the update arrives.

These changes are designed to ensure that new players receive more rewards and receive them faster without penalizing players who have already spent a lot of time on the game. Since players have already reached the dozens of hours required to reach level 100 in Apex Legends and are still declining, you now have many more levels to earn. All these new changes to the Apex Legends level-up system will be released in the upcoming patch of the game, scheduled for December 3rd.
