Red Dead Online’s next Frontier Pursuit is Moonshiner’s role, including story missions and activities where players can own and operate a black market moonlighting deal. As with any new Frontier Pursuit, there are new abilities to explore properties, story missions and entrepreneurial ventures. The update is scheduled for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia on December 13th.
Red Dead Redemption 2 developer Rockstar Games today unveiled the update in a Rockstar Newswire post.
“Build your own robbery business in this new specialist role – ideal for players on the trader path, or for anyone looking for a property to call themselves,” wrote the developer. “Unleash unique role-specific abilities as you perfect your distillation methods, avoid laws, and bring out competing traders. If you’re lucky, you may be able to survive long enough to open your own speakeasy. “
Players who have reached rank 5 or active traders who have completed a sales mission can meet Maggie Fike, an “experienced bootlegger” at the Emerald Ranch, to begin the story. To begin with, interested players must buy a “Moonlight Cabin,” which is basically a homestead and has a basement where moonlight can be stored. If you’re good enough, you can set up a bar with your own home brew.
There are also new “customizable decor” options, such as a “country band with dance floor”. That sounds like fun now!
Along with the Moonshiners update, Red Dead Online will receive the new Navy Revolver, extra clothing options and more outfit slots in your wardrobe. “
If you have not played Red Dead Redemption 2 before in Red Dead Online mode, now is a good time to start if you are a PC player. Red Dead Redemption 2 had a rocky start on the PC, to say the least, but many of the PC launch issues of Red Dead Redemption 2 have since been fixed. Now Rockstar also distributes free “care packages” to all Red Dead online players on the PC to make up for the difficult start.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on November 5 for PC.
