The Sims 4 Update 1.89: Bug Fixes and Improvements
Performance Optimization Fixes for Moodlets
- In this update, we have addressed some performance optimizations that were inadvertently causing certain moodlets to be removed from Sims upon loading the game. This issue has now been resolved, and players should no longer experience missing moodlets.
Tooltip Crash Fix
- We have fixed a crash that would occur when a tooltip was triggered while in the hover state on objects within a Sim’s inventory. This crash should no longer occur, providing a smoother gameplay experience for players.
Object Picker UI Issue Resolved
- An issue with the object picker UI menus that interfered with Sims’ ability to run various “Give” interactions has been fixed. Players can now interact with objects in their Sims’ inventory without any hindrance.
WooHoo Interests Display Fix
- Players will now see the WooHoo Interests of other Sims accurately displayed in their Profile Panel. This fix ensures that players have correct information about other Sims’ interests.
For Rent: Profile Panel Viewing Fix
- Players can now successfully open the Profile Panel of another Sim after Eavesdropping on them. Any secrets learned about that Sim will be displayed accurately in the Profile Panel.
Crystal Creations Bug Resolved
- We have corrected an issue where Sims’ bodies would change in size when putting on or taking off crafted jewelry. This issue primarily affected Teens, Adults, and Elders. While this issue will no longer occur, players can manually restore their Sims’ appearance using older save files or by manipulating their Sim’s body in CAS.
Crafted Jewelry Fixes
- Players with The Sims 4 Get to Work can now sell crafted jewelry at Retail businesses without it being returned to the business owner Sims’ inventory when traveling away from the Retail lot. Additionally, if a Sim dies while wearing crafted jewelry, the jewelry will now be disassociated with the deceased Sim when returned to the household’s inventory.
Gemstone Color Fix
- We have updated combinations of crafting jewelry that were resulting in a gemstone color that did not match the selected crystal. This fix ensures that players will now see accurate gemstone colors when crafting jewelry.
Overall, this update includes a variety of bug fixes and improvements to enhance the gameplay experience for The Sims 4 players. The team has worked to address issues with performance optimizations, tooltip crashes, object picker UI menus, WooHoo Interests display, Profile Panel viewing, and crystal creations. Additionally, fixes have been made to crafted jewelry mechanics, including selling at Retail businesses and gemstone color accuracy. Players can now enjoy a smoother and more accurate gameplay experience with these updates in place.
