All future physical PC releases from THQ Nordic will have limited prints
THQ Nordic has announced that all future physical PC releases, including Gothic 1 Remake, Alone in the Dark, and Trine 5, will have a very limited print run.
Limited Editions and Serial Numbering
Each game’s standard edition and eligible collector’s edition will have serially numbered prints. Only a small amount of physical copies will be available, all of which will be sealed and premium packaged.
Selling and Distribution
The first 10 (or 25 or 50) copies of each limited print run will be sold through the THQ Nordic Vienna Store. Another batch will be made available online through international stores or offered to selected retail partners.
Preservation in Embracer Games Archive
The very last numbered copy of each limited print run will be provided to the Embracer Games Archive in Karlstad, Sweden, which currently houses 70,000 games, consoles, and accessories.

THQ Nordic provided an example of a limited print run for the upcoming game Jagged Alliance 3:
Jagged Alliance 3 – Standard Edition
- Total of 2,500 units
- 1,500 units of the German Version (#1 – #1500), with #1 – #20 available from THQ Nordic Vienna Store and the rest via THQ Nordic online store and selected German retail partners
- 999 units of the International Version (#1501 – #2499), available via THQ Nordic online store and selected retail partners
- #2500 will be delivered to the Embracer Games Archive
Jagged Alliance 3 – Collector’s Edition (sold out)
- Total of 750 units
- #750 was delivered to the Embracer Games Archive
Jagged Alliance 3 – Vienna Store Collector’s Edition
- Total of 200 units of the Vienna Store CE
- 100 units for the THQ Nordic Vienna Store and the THQ Nordic online store
- 100 units for promotion and the games’ developer Haemimont
Last month, it was announced that the Alone in the Dark remake will star David Harbour and Jodie Comer. The game was also given an October release date and a free playable prologue.
