Tokyo Game Show 2023
The Tokyo Game Show (TGS) is set to be the biggest event yet, according to the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA).
After four years, TGS 2023 will return to its traditional venue, the Makuhari Messe. While last year’s event had limited venue space due to COVID-19 concerns, this year’s show will utilize the entire venue.
“Despite the restrictions, last year’s event was filled with exhibitors and game fans eagerly waiting for a real-life experience at the Makuhari Messe,” said the CESA on Tuesday. “The positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors emphasized the importance and demand for a physical exhibition under any circumstances.”
Date and Features
TGS 2023 will take place over four days, from Thursday, September 21 to Sunday, September 24. The event will feature a Business Day and a Public Day.
In addition, age restrictions will be lifted, allowing children under 12 to attend for the first time since the pandemic began. The exhibition areas will be family-friendly. International visitors will also be welcome, as border restrictions have been lifted.
Confirmed Exhibitors
Leading gaming companies, including Bandai Namco, Capcom, HoyoVerse, Koei Tecmo, Konami, Level 5, Xbox, Sega / Atlus, and Square Enix, have confirmed their participation in the event, according to an official exhibitor list.
Kojima Productions will be present in the merchandise area, while PlayStation will be exclusively in the indie area. Nintendo will have business meetings at the show, but no public area.

General admission tickets for Japanese residents will go on sale starting from noon on July 8. Ticket sales for overseas visitors will begin on July 26.
