Twin Peaks, the series that inspired Alan Wake

If there is one director who has left its mark on the imagination, it is definitely Davi Lynch. The filmmaker behind Blue Velvet and Dune has indeed marked everyone with his dreamlike images thaton found both in the essential Mulholland Drive and in the iconic series Twin Peaks.

Cult series from the 90s, Twin Peaks is quite simply a happy mix between a soap opera and a film noir sprinkled with mysteries of all kinds. In this adventure, on follows Agent Dale Cooper, played by Kyle MacLachlan, who investigates the murder of Laura Palmer in a small, seemingly quiet town.

This proposition, which regularly rubs shoulders with surrealism and even horror, has inspired a number of works, whether cinematographic or video game. We are talking here about Alan Wake (who will also have a second opus at the end of October), but also from Deadly Premonition.

Soon a video game for Twin Peaks?

Today, the soul of Twin Peaks breathes in many video game productions, but in the future, it could be that the universe of David Lynch and Mark Frost will have the right to son own video game.

It was while reviewing the CV of a freelance artist that a Reddit member shared his discovery with us. On son CV, the artist in question, namely Edward, mentions a “video” adaptation of the Twin Peaks series. Knowing that Edward has worked on numerous video game productions, on imagine that the term “video” here refers to a video game.

Everything, according to sources, would be published by Paramount Pictures itself, the owner of the Twin Peaks license. Unfortunately, following the discovery of this little surprise, Edward would have removed any term mentioning the Twin Peaks license from son CV and son site.

However, still according to the Reddit user, we should not expect a big AAA, but rather a modest game, perhaps mobileor even a DLC for games like Fortnite or Dead by Daylight, since Edward’s CV never mentions major productions.
