Ubisoft Teases More Assassin’s Creed Shadows Releases

Big News for Assassin’s Creed Shadows Players

Ubisoft just dropped an exciting update: they’re set to release additional versions of Assassin’s Creed Shadows for “other machines.” This follows months of speculation, especially after the game was rated for the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2.

During their latest financial results call, CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that the title has already amassed over five million players. He hinted at future plans beyond the upcoming expansion, Claws of Awaji, which promises to deliver an impressive 10 hours of fresh content before October rolls around.

“On Assassin’s Creed Shadows, it had a very good start and we have lots of things that are going to come soon,” Guillemot stated. He emphasized the trajectory of the game and confirmed exciting plans for the future. However, when pressed about specifics regarding the Switch 2, he noted that Ubisoft hasn’t disclosed which games might make it to Nintendo’s latest hardware this coming year.

Shadows’ Performance and Future Prospects

Per Ubisoft’s financial results, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has performed well and is aligning with their expectations. Earlier this year, the game even turned up on the PEGI ratings board with Nintendo Switch 2 listed as a potential platform.

Although there’s no official confirmation of Shadows heading to the Switch 2, the company has already committed to bringing the thrilling Star Wars Outlaws to the console, ensuring fans of current-gen gaming will have something to look forward to on the new handheld.
