PS Plus September 2023 Games Leaked NieR Replicant, Star Ocean, and More Revealed Ahead of Schedule

In a recent announcement, Sony revealed that Nier Replicant, Civilization 6, and Unpacking are set to join the PS Plus Extra games line-up in September 2023. The release date is confirmed to be September 19, and this wave of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games will include several new titles, such as 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, Cloudpunk, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, Planet Coaster: Console Edition, This War of Mine: Final Cut, and Call of the Sea. Despite the excitement surrounding these additions, there is some bad news – nine games will be leaving the service on the same day. Sony, however, did not disclose which games will be removed from the service.

Games Leaving the Service

If you are a fan of games like Deathloop, Watch Dogs 2, and Chicory A Colorful Tale, then you should be aware that these games will be leaving the PS Plus Extra service on September 19. This means that if you haven’t completed these games yet, you should hurry up and finish playing them before the deadline. Additionally, other games like the original Watch Dogs, Umbrella Corp, Nidhogg 2, Death End reQuest 2, Through the Darkest of Times, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands will also be leaving the service on the same day.

Out of the aforementioned games, Deathloop is considered to be the biggest and best game of the bunch, developed by the renowned studio Arkane, which is popular for its other games like Dishonored and Prey. This game is unique since it features a time loop feature where players will attempt to assassinate multiple targets throughout the course of a single day. To succeed in the game, players have to use their knowledge of the environment and enemies to quickly take care of each target in a single loop. Additionally, the game features a thrilling multiplayer element where players can be invaded by rival assassins.

It is worth noting that Deathloop was a former PlayStation exclusive, but it is now available on Xbox following Microsoft’s acquisition of Arkane publishing company Bethesda. If you are a PS5 owner without an Xbox, you should hurry up and finish Deathloop before it leaves PS Plus Extra on September 19.
